, historian and author of The Color of Compromise, How to Fight Racism, and The Spirit of Justice, joined our April 26 Manzanar Pilgrimage. It was such a delight for us to spend the day with him! I enjoyed watching him take video footage of the experience.
I hope you’ll take a look at his reflections below - and especially the documentary that he produced. It’s a powerful reminder of how history can teach us how to respond to today’s urgent issues.
Jemar is also a new member of Fuller Theological Seminary where he serves as Affiliate Faculty in the School of Mission & Theology and Research Faculty in the Pannell Center for Black Church Studies.
This fall, Pearl Dive will publish more reflections about the Manzanar Pilgrimage experience.
